Dua Foundation has also implemented solar water projects in remote villages of Tharparkar to ensure water availability. These projects are specifically designed for well-populated villages, which are without electricity. Typically, a bore of six to eight inches is drilled, reaching depths of 200 to 500 feet. A submersible pump is installed in the bore, which operates through a solar system. A large storage tank is constructed near the bore to store water, allowing villagers to collect water conveniently as per their needs.
